Post Doctoral position in Seismology at University of Trieste - deadline: 2 May 2019

The SeisRaM group of the Department of Mathematics and Geosciences of the University of Trieste is looking for Post-Doctoral Research Scientist position focused on monitoring and analysis of seismological data for seismic risk management. The research project develops within the activities of the SeisRaM group aimed at the permanent and temporary monitoring of the seismic response of the territory also in support of the study of seismic risk management. The candidate will have to develop new models for the monitoring and analysis of the strong ground motion, both free field and in buildings, and optimize the already developed algorithms for a better definition of the seismic input and of the ground motion parameters. It requires a good knowledge of scientific programming in particular python.
